Duluidas Nigeria Limited recognizes the importance of Health, Safety and Environmental concerns to the oil and gas industries as well as the adverse consequences of its failure to observe, check and control or completely eliminate the acts and conditions that might result in the accidents or incidents.
It is the policy of DULUIDAS to comply with the national health, safety and environmental specifications such as ISO 14001, the Factory Decree of 1987 and safety Act of 1997 to provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment, thereby minimizing the number of instances of occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately to achieve a zero LTI on our projects.
All employees will be provided with such equipment, information, training and supervision as necessary to implement this policy and achieve the stated objective. DULUIDAS recognizes and accepts its duty to protect the health and safety of all visitors to the company, including contractors and temporary workers, as well as any members of the public who might be affected by our operations.
As I have said earlier, the management of DULUIDAS will provide every employee with the training necessary to carry out his or her tasks safely. However, if an employee is unsure on how to perform a certain task or feels it would be dangerous to perform a specific job then it is the employee’s duty to report this to his/her supervisor or the HSE coordinator. An effective HSE program requires continuous communication between the management and the workers at all levels. Therefore, it is every worker’s responsibility to report immediately any situation, which could jeopardize the well-being of himself or any other person, property and investment. HSE compliant award shall be given to adherents while safety abuse shall not go unpunished.
DULUIDAS will always strive to maintain good relationship with the host communities through effective communication and assistance. All injuries however small, sustained by a person at work must be reported to the HSE coordinator or a delegated representative. Accident records are crucial to the effective monitoring and revision of the policy and must therefore be accurate and comprehensive. DULUIDAS HSE Policy will be continually monitored, audited and updated to reflect the dynamic nature of our operations.
